The MQHYA meeting was held, Friday, May 5 at the Equine Center in Jackson, MS.

The meeting was callled to order by President Burks. A motion was made to dispense with the reading of the minutes.President Burks reported on the Youth Show. Please thank the following volunteers for helping us with our show.

Class sponsorships were collected. TJ's Western Wear donated a $175.00 to the youth who sold the most sponsorships. Clyde Barnes was the winner.

Workers lounge looks good. You can only get food from there if you are working. Sign up list were compleated for working assignments.

Robert Cornett and Tom Burks are cooking for us Saturday night after the show on the South side of the Equine Center.Make sure that you bring your Little Sis or Brother.

The notebook for the Signatures of Intent for the Youth World was passed around.

The sign up will be at our next meeting on June 14, at 7:00 in the Equine Center.

The Region 9 Conference is a go. The new Itinerary was passed out. Mr. Mark reported that each state is giving $500.00 in order to put the conference on. Kaylin Vanderwerf moved that we give $500.00 for the conference to be held, Ashton Myers seconded. The motion passed.

Y.E.S. Conference was discussed. There were no issues at this time to bring up at the conference. We have 4 youth at this time running for Region 9 directors: Grace Cornett, Kyle Fuller, Sarah Locker, and Morgan Williams.

Ms Melanie reported on our service project for the summer. The week of June 19-24 looks good to visit Mt Leopard Childrens Ranch. There was a vote taken on when would be the best time for everyone to go, during the week or the weekend. The week day was the winner.

Ms Melanie will contact Michelle Langston and set up our visit.
