Congratulations to all who showed at the Dixie National.

The Youth Conference for Region 9 will not be held this year due to a scheduling conflict with the Tennessee youth adviser and director. We would like everyone who wanted to attend this conference to attend the Y.E.S. Conference in Amarillo, Texas. It is June 28-July 1. Everyone is invited to go. The top four Officers get to go and any interested youth. We need to know if you are going by May 1. those that would like to run for an office for the conference see Mark Clay for the details.

The next meeting will be Friday, May 4 at 7:00 in the Equine Center in Jackson.

The letter of intent for the Youth World can be signed at any time this weekend. It will be in the show office. You have to be present to sign or have someone sign for you. A meeting will be held in June to do the official sign up.

We contributed $500 to the Swayze Woodruff fund last year. We would like to do it again. Mary Bess and Gary Woodruff are so involved in MQHA. They contribute so much time and money to the youth. We tabled the decision to the next meeting.

The Youth show is in May. WE NEED EVERYONE'S HELP! Please sign up to Work. We need help with the youth lounge and the judges lounge. Gerald Barnes is running the back gate. We need help passing out small fry ribbons and any other ribbons. Our Office workers will be Mrs. Ann, Beth, and Linda. They need a lot of help too. A cookout will be at 7:00 On Saturday Night. Tom Burks and Robert Cornett will be cooking under the over hang by the show office. We will have football afterwards. We will have the celebrity showmanship. Last year it was a big success. It will be $15 per entry. We learn the requirements at the show. There will be a prize for the best and the worst.

Everyone needs to turn in at least 2 or 3 sponsorships. There will be a prize for the most sponsorships. It is $25 per sponsor. Sponsors will be put in a pattern book by George Kane if we get the sponsors in by the end of this week. (April 20) programs will be sold for $5, When you buy a pattern book your name goes into a bucket for a drawing of $50. The theme for the youth show will be the 60's and 70's era. (hippy era)
