Hello Everyone,

The Youth Show is just around the corner! Volunteers are needed in all areas to help the show run smoothly and be a success.

The next MQHYA meeting will be held Friday, May 2 @ 7:00 pm at the Equine Center meeting room. All members need to attend. This will be the final planning meeting for the Youth Show weekend.

It has been requested that each member bring a twelve pack of either soft drinks or water to help supply the show with needed refreshements for workers and judges.

Silent Auction, Saturday, May 3, 2008
Each member is to bring atleast 1 item for the silent auction. Items can be turn in at the Youth meeting Friday night. Auction items are to be turned in no later than Saturday, May 3 @ 8:00 am. These items can be given to Hope Venus or Gay McCann.

The Mississippi Quarter Horse Youth Association is an excellent starting place for the young enthusiast. Youth members look forward to attending the American Quarter Horse Youth World Show in Fort Worth each August. There is also an MQHYA Congress Team that competes in the National Youth Activity Team Tournament competition at the All American Quarter Horse Congress. High Point year end awards for showing in Mississippi shows are offered in the MQHYA. For the scholastic achiever, the MQHA Scholarship is awarded annually to two youth that will be attending Mississippi supported colleges and universities.
